Shri Rahul Narwekar said he will support Dr Nandekar's vision. He also said he received approval from Chief Minister Shri Eknath Shinde of Rs.500 crore to spend for beautification of South Mumbai.
Shri Rahul Narwekar also said that he will support the mission of Dr Nandekar to make Cuffe Parade encroachment free. He added that he is going to do astroturfing of part of Bay View Marina Garden, which is developed by Dr Padmakar Nandekar and others.
The Golden Jubilee celebration event of Jalkiran CHS, where Shri Rahul Narwekar was felicitated, took place on Saturday, 14th January, 2023. Many eminent personalities, including BJP Corporators, Makarand Narwekar, and Harshita Narvekar, were present at the event.
Shri Narwekar was elected as the Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly last year. It should be noted that he got 164 votes in support, although he required only 145 votes to win. He serves as a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Colaba Assembly seat of Maharashtra. During the election as Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Shri Narwekar was pitted against Rajan Salvi, Maha Vikas Aghadi's candidate.

Shri Narwekar is a renowned figure in the field of politics in Maharashtra. He is a lawyer by profession. He was appointed as an MLA for the first time, during the Assembly elections held in 2019. Shri Narwekar was associated with Shiv Sena and the Nationalist Congress Party in the past. He has also served as the the Shiv Sena Youth Wing's spokesperson.
Shri Narwekar hails from a political family of Maharashtra. His father, Shri Suresh Narwekar, worked as a councillor. In 2014, Rahul Narwekar was in the Shiv Sena. During that time, he was presenting his claim to contest in the Lok Sabha elections. However, he failed to get the ticket.
Shri Narwekar joined the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) after Shiv Sena refused him the ticket. The NCP fielded Shri Narwekar from the Maval Lok Sabha constituency. But Shri Narwekar had to face defeat. Later, he joined the BJP and became Speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly on July 3, 2022.
It is noteworthy that at the age of 44, Shri Narwekar, became the second person to be elected as the youngest speaker of any state in the country. The first person to be elected for this role was Shivraj Patil chakurkar (at 42 years of age).
Jalkiran CHS, at the Golden Jubilee celebration of which Shri Narwekar was felicitated, stands tall in the prime area of Cuffe Parade.
