During this month-long time, people observe Roza. Those who observe Roza during Ramadan get up early in the morning to have their first meal which is called sehri, and in the evening, they break their fast with a meal called iftar. Strict fasting means drinking no water and consuming nothing during the day. Hence, it is only during sehri and iftar that one can eat and gain the energy to observe the strict fasting. People maintain fast with the belief that it will lead to their spiritual purification in the Holy month of Ramadan and allows them get closer in connection with Allah.
SNMD Sarkar, said, "In this month, we welcome each other with âRamadan Mubarak' and after completion of 30 days fasting we say Eid Mubarak. This day is a sign of respect, belief, and love for everyone, irrespective of their belief and faiths.
He further said, "Islam is the religion where we follow zakat that is other principal of Islam. We urged all the believers to live in compassion, brotherhood, and harmony. May everyone enjoy this festival is healthy and wealthy path."
Mr. Sarkar said, Indians are known to welcome every celebration, million of people visit Jama Masjid during the Ramadan month. The entire street you will notice delicious food. There are all traditional food items during Iftar including biryani, kebabs, haleem, shorbas and more. Other religion people are also invited for Iftar parties to be part of Ramadan Kareem.This is beauty of India where you see people coming together and eating & sharing the delicious Iftra and sehri meal.
