If you are in Mumbai or around, make sure you don't miss 'Uncaged,' a solo art exhibition by a young, contemporary, and upcoming artist Priyanka Tayal. The show is on from the 2nd to the 7th May 2022, 11 am to 7 pm, at the Kamalnayan Bajaj Art Gallery, Bajaj Bhavan, Nariman Point, Mumbai - 21. This series has been an amalgamation of her experiments with various tools and techniques. The series has been named, "Uncaged", as it refers to being freed from our conditioning of the mind. Her love for nature, inspires her latest acrylic on canvas series. Keenly observant, Tayal has tried to capture the various stages of nature through her colours.

Priyanka studied and lived in Boston, USA, for eleven years. Post a degree in Business Management (2005) and Masters in Finance (2007), Tayal had a thriving career in finance. She gave it all up to pursue her passion for Arts. She moved back to India in 2012 and has been on her journey ever since. She has held shows at Birla Academy and Art Gallery Gold, ICCR in Kolkata, and Raasta and NSCI in Mumbai. Buoyed by the response and success of her shows, Tayal has grown in confidence as an Artist.

In her latest series, Uncaged, Tayal has experimented with different tools and techniques and a wide spectrum of colours and hues. The abstract form affords her the freedom to express her emotions and ideas, and the technique suits her innovative bent of mind. As an artist, she constantly strives to free her mind from the fetters of restraint.

At the exhibition, you will see an array of her explorations. Artworks like the Fling Series, Metamorphosis, Fantasy, Cave, Summer in Boston, Rustle, Spring, and La Vie En Rose reflect her knack for amalgamating nature with her life experiences. While compositions like The Astral Light, Eden, Oceanic, and Mantle, among others, are instinctive essays in lucidity and colours by a mind trying to break free of constraints. Nature and its vicissitudes are an omnipresent theme in all her works.

This series, "Uncaged" is another milestone added to Priyanka Tayal's artistic expedition.
