Rahul Prajapati a.k.a Rahul Kumar may have been a part of the entertainment industry for more than 12-years. But surely he has arrived now and is loved for his emotional, expressive and comical character of ‘Rahul' in the recently released Hindi feature film Shubh Raatri .

Rahul Kumar as his screen name is set for his new innings in this showbiz world. "I always loved acting and did few notable roles. There has been a complete lull during the coronavirus triggered lockdown which had indeed put a spanner in everyone's life. The re-opening of cinema halls with Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi featuring Akshay Kumar and others had brought in a fresh lease of life for the industry. The response and love I have received from this release is quite amazing. I am thankful to God that Shubh Raatri has really been a game-changer. I strongly believed that someday my performance will be noticed," says Rahul.

Kumar feels that content has always been the king. "The industry does run on a star-based system. But even big stars too cannot guarantee success at the ticket windows. Look back and see so many films featuring notable stars have tanked at the box-office," quips the actor. He further adds, "I am not looking myself as a mainstream actor. I am willing to take up parallel leads as well. I love doing roles with negative shades. Basically, I would like to share my craft through different stories."

Now, with his new attained fame, the actor has already buckled a slew of interesting films in his kitty. He features in a Telugu biopic film titled as Akhila which is directed by veteran Mohan Rao and is being readied for release in the first quarter of 2022. After seeing the rushes of this film, Rahul has also been offered endorsement by Kalyan Jewellers with Nagarjuna and Amitabh Bachchan which proves his potential as an actor. He also features in a couple of more Hindi films like I'M Ready and many others which will mount the sets in the coming New Year.

"The work you have done in the past only adds to the popularity," says the young actor, who was earlier seen in few music videos like Waqt Thamsa Gaya Hai on the label of Venus, O Sanam Mere Sanam amongst others including two web series; one with Krishna Abhishek and titled as Jo Hukum Mere Aaka streamed on Netflix and another one titled as Drishti Ke Dusht on Red Prime.

For him, he is still enjoying the feelings and emotions during his earlier days by playing prominent roles in all the eligible departments of filmmaking. His sense of wonder and curiosity about this craft has kept him on his toes all these years. "I did step over some stumbling blocks, hebut turned them into stepping stones. In today's times, we need to express more, instead of finding a shortcut to emotions. Apart from few hurdles, I didn't experience any discrimination. You have to fit in the part and that is how the way things run in the industry irrespective from where you come from. Hard work and sincerity does pay. I am looking forward to a beautiful journey and to be known as a versatile and dependable actor who can fit in all kinds of roles," signs off.
