"I was a Boy Scout, so I have always lived with this creed: Be prepared," RuPaul Charles explains in his viral TikTok packing video.
His post, which has been liked over 89,000 times, shows how he organizes his handbag like a true Boy Scout. He uses smaller mesh bags, each for a specific theme or category. "This is so when I switch bags, I don't miss something that I need while the transfer happens," he explains.
But, what is inside the mesh bags? The drag queen "This has electronics stuff in it - headphones. These are attachments; matches are in here. Pen in here, tablet, a toothpick, lip balm..."
He's also a big fan of carrying all-purpose remedies, like Valium or baking soda, which he claims can be mixed with a teaspoon of water to cure an upset stomach. One of the most fitting items he carries is double-sided tape because, "it is the cure for a myriad of problems that could arise."
RuPaul Charles has shared his top travel tips before. In 2018, he had a conversation with The New York Times where he explained why he prefers to travel light, smart, and with a Boy Scout mindset. He mentioned that his constantly moving lifestyle led him to develop these strategies, stating, "I packed a bag when I was 15 years old and I've never unpacked it. I knew from day one I was going to hit the road and never stop."
