Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck
There seems to be trouble in paradise for Hollywood stars Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck. The couple tied the knot on July 16, 2022. Now, ahead of their second anniversary, reports have surfaced that the two have decided to end their marriage. According to reports, Ben Affleck has also moved out of the house he had been living with Lopez.
A source told In Touch Weekly, "The writing is on the wall - it's over. They're headed for a divorce - and for once, [Ben's] not to blame!"
It has not gone unnoticed that been and Jennifer have not been spending time together or being spotted together in public. 47 days to be precise, since they were publicly photographed, reports People. Ben also gave the MET Gala a miss which was co-chaired by Lopez. Ben's official excuse for missing the Met Gala was that he was busy filming 'The Accountant 2', but In Touch's source says he "decided to call it quits" on his marriage to the A-list singer.
"He's focusing on his work and his kids now," the insider adds. "Ben already moved out and they'll likely have to sell the dream house they spent two years searching for. They'll never stop loving each other, but she can't control him, and he can't change her. There's no way it could have lasted."

Reportedly, the reason for their decision to part is their approach in handling the spotlight on them and their relationship.
Actor-director Ben Affleck and actress-singer Jennifer Lopez rekindled their romance in 2021 after almost 20 years. However, the âArgo' star had a request. JLo has 253 million followers on Instagram, and Ben didn't want their relationship to play out in front of her followers, reported âPeople' magazine.
Ben made the revelation in the new Prime Video documentary âThe Greatest Love Story Never Told'. "Getting back together, I said, âListen, one of the things I don't want is a relationship on social media'," the actor and director, 51, recalled.
"Then I sort of realised it's not a fair thing to ask. It's sort of like, you're gonna marry a boat captain and you go, âWell, I don't like the water'." As per âPeople', despite Ben's apprehensions, the couple has made it work, getting engaged in April 2022 and tying the knot in Las Vegas that July.
