'So many people are physically challenged': Abdu Rozik on being trolled for his wedding announcement

Former ‘Bigg Boss 16' contestant and renowned social media influencer, Abdu Rozik, recently took to his Instagram handle to share some joyous news with his followers. The Tajikistani musician, known for his vibrant online presence, revealed that he got engaged to his fiancee, Amira, on April 24, 2024. The engagement ceremony, held in Sharjah, UAE, seemed to be an intimate event for the couple, which was sadly trolled as a prank and publicity stunt.

Reacting to the same Abdu told The Free Press Journal, "Just because I am not like others, people think I cannot get married. Just like everyone else, I also have a heart. I want to love someone, get married, and have babies. There are so many people who are physically challenged. But they settle down and live their life happily. I am aware how people are saying it's a prank and that I'm doing all this for publicity. But the whole world is watching what I'm doing through social media. I have over 8.2 million followers on Instagram. I will never fake something like that."

Recalling his love story with Amira, 19, Abdu shared, "She is from Sharjah and is currently studying business administration. She loves and respects me as well as my family. What I love the most about her is that she is very caring. We met for the first time at an Italian restaurant. I was there with my friends and she had also come there along with her friends. Amira then asked her friends to get my contact number. They approached my friends who instantly shared it. She messaged me and then we started chatting and understanding each other. We started going out and fell in love."

In the series of photos from their engagement shared by Rozik, the couple exuded happiness as they exchanged rings with each other. Clad in traditional attire, Abdu presented the ring to his fiancee, who looked resplendent in a white ensemble with a veil. The heartfelt caption accompanying the post expressed gratitude and joy for the momentous occasion. The announcement garnered widespread attention and congratulations from various quarters.

As per the information shared by Rozik, the couple is slated to tie the knot on July 7, with the wedding ceremony taking place at an undisclosed location in the UAE. Rozik, brimming with excitement, conveyed his eagerness to embark on this new chapter of his life with his beloved fiancee.
