Looking at her, you won't think she's not got a single funny in her. But the prim and propa Celina Jaitley is certainly drawn to funny roles ufffd think No Entry and Golmaal. In fact, she is now looking forward to working on two new comedy films. In Canada currently for Anees Bazmee's Thank You, Celina tells CS what makes her laugh:

Whatte fun!

I like this genre of cinema for the simple reason that I've grown up watching comedy flicks. I'm the happiest when I'm watching this kind of cinema that brings with it a lot of laughter and smiles. My brother and I must have watched Andaz Apna Apna a 1000 times. We would watch it when my parents would go for parties and in the army, parties happen almost every day. We'd wait for them to leave, finish our dinner and homework and then start the film. All of Kishore da's films are great fun to watch. Padosan and Chalti Ka Naam Gadi are my all-time favourites. Dilli Ka Thug, Jane Bhi Do Yaaro are some of the others that I love.

Funny heroes

Sridevi is my idol. I don't think any other woman has had the guts to become a comic heroine in the leading role. This is one reason why I like to do comedy, besides the fact that I like making people laugh. Sridevi was great in Chaal Bazz, but her comic parts in Lamhe with Anupam Kher are simply outstanding. But, I have to say that nobody attempts comedy better than Anil Kapoor. While shooting for No Entry, I'd get rooted to a spot while watching his performance; it was so real that I would either forget my lines or burst out laughing. Govinda and Tusshar (Kapoor) are two other actors who are good at comedy and I love to act with them. Among international actors, John Lithgov from the American sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun is absolutely hilarious. Julia Roberts too has a great timing. She looks so settled yet young and easy while doing comedy. Friends and Will & Grace are two of my favourite sitcoms.

Run, baby, run
I'm not always intentionally funny. Once I was at a close relative's funeral, needless to say that the mood was somber. Much to my horror a distant aunt of mine came forward to speak about the deceased. She was so dramatic that I couldn't keep myself from laughing. I covered my mouth with the chunni and started running from the room. Two of my mamas and a maami started running after me thinking that I was so overwhelmed by grief. Seeing me run out of the gates, two of my fans joined the chasing brigade along with my family dog. Sounds so filmi, doesn't it?
