Believe it or not, Ang Lee's film has completed 200 days at an obscure Kozhikode theatre

Looks like Ang Lee's Oscar winning film Life of Pi has the movie going audiences in Kozhikode under its spell. Apparently, it has been running at the FilmCity studio for the last 200 days, a feat that has allegedly remained elusive to even South films that have released there.

A source from the town says, "The film has been doing great business as the audience doesn't stop coming to the theatres to watch the film."

Vivek Krishnani, marketing-distribution and syndication head of Fox Star Studio says, "It's a matter of great pride. Life of Pi has had a phenomenal run at the box office in India. The film has collected Rs 94 crore (gross box office), which is the second highest ever and next only to James Cameron's Avatar."

Co-proprietor of the Kozhikode theatre, Rajan says, "This is a remarkable milestone that even regional films haven't achieved."
