Fashion designer AD Singh couldn't have asked for a better work cum pleasure trip with his dad. With an ocean safari in Sentosa, water sports in Bintan Islands and a couple of lazy days in Genting, the trip was a great bonding session for the father-and-son pair. AD recounts the holiday with CS:
Going places
I enjoyed the rides at Genting's amusement walk and loved the trip to the Petronas. In Singapore, the visit to the Sentosa Ocean World and Night Safari was great fun. And the hot Singaporean girls in hot pants and short skirts just made my trip.
We also took time off to visit the Bintan Islands near Indonesia where we indulged in water sports. We gorged on the delicious Tom Yum Soup, baked prawns and Chendol, a local dessert made with pink passion fruit and ice cream. Dad and I loved the roasted water chestnuts that we snacked on.u00a0
The Punjabi connect
Interestingly, one day I wanted to go to a Gurudwara in Singapore and hailed a cab. I told the Chinese cabbie to take me to a Sikh temple, he promptly replied, "You mean a Gurudwara", and I was like wow. I was stunned when he tossed a few Punjabi words at me.
Travelling with my dad was great fun. It was my best holiday ever. Right from shopping to go-karting and dining, we got to spend quality time together.
