Acting more challenging than VJing: Rhea Chakraborty

VJ-turned actress Rhea Chakraborty, who will be seen as the female lead in forthcoming comedy Mere Dad Ki Maruti, finds acting challenging

Before "Mere Dad Ki Maruti", she did Telugu film "Tuneega Tuneega".

"I find acting more challenging. When you are a VJ, you can say whatever you want to and dress the way you want to. You basically play your own character. When you are an actor, you need to be in someone else's skin and make the audience fall in love with you," she told IANS.

Produced by Y-Films, an arm of Yash Raj Films (YRF), "Mere Dad Ki Maruti" tells the story of a son, played by Saqib Saleem, who loses his dad's new Maruti car.

Rhea said it was a dream come true for her to work with such a big production house.

"It was nice to be part of YRF. Doing a film with YRF is like a dream come true for a newcomer. It's like a family here. Everyone looks after you. If you do your work well, they appreciate you. You are in safe hands with such production houses," she said.

Talking about TV actor Ram Kapoor, who plays the father in the movie, Rhea said that he would come on sets and "all the girls and ladies would start giggling".

"He is sweet, passionate and charming. I learned a lot of things from him. I learned that you have to fall in love with what you are doing and then you will enjoy it," she said.

As far as future is concerned, Rhea has two films in her kitty.

Directed by Ashima Chibber, "Mere Dad Ki Maruti" releases Friday.u00a0
