India, which had sent its largest-ever contingent of 119 athletes at the Rio Olympics 2016, ended their campaign with a medal haul of two, including a silver and a bronze on Sunday.
Sakshi Malik won the bronze medal in women's wrestling, while PV Sindhu bagged the silver medal in badminton.
Another Indian woman, who became the pride at Rio Olympics, was lone gymnast Dipa Karamakar. The 23-year-old debutant from Tripura missed a bronze medal by a whisker.
