In a recent interview, Shailendra Singh who heads Percept Picture Company, says that in the last year, "Bollywood has collectively lost Rs 350 crores." He says all the big production houses who threw big money at stars are now showing huge losses in the books and are in dire starits. He goes on to say, "Aagey Se Right even Kaminey, after being successful, is a loss for UTV. Ghajini is the most hyped movie of recent times on the stock market, UTV showed a loss of Rs 9 crores on it." Wonder if that is why the production house is not producing Ashutosh Gowariker's next after making Jodhaa Akbar and What's Your Raashee? with them. Cash crunch?
