Designer Amy Billimoria has completed two decades in the fashion circuit. But her journey goes beyond classy outfits and chic accessories.
A firm believer in âhealthy fashion', Amy endorses eco-fashion to identify and check environmental problems.
Specialising in couture and bridal fashion, Amy has contributed a lot to control the hazards of global warming by minimising textile wastage. "Re-use, reduce, recycle has always been the core of my designing forte.
It's been 20 years since I have been showcasing my collection and the theme always has been to spread awareness on eco-fashion.
I use old stuff to create fashionable clothing and save a lot of wastage," said Amy, who has recently started a line of ethnic sarees with hand-woven fabrics from Maharashtra, Manipur, Gujarat, Bangalore and Banaras.
