The couple, engaged this January, are definitely not tying the knot in Mumbai but may solemnise their bond, either in Benares (Kashyap's hometown) or in Pondicherry (Kalki's hometown).
Says a source, "Anurag and Kalki are in love and want to get married. Their parents have fixed April 30 as an auspicious date.
The couple wants a quiet family affair with a simple wedding ceremony away from the media hype and so, haven't informed anyone.
Yesterday evening, he was to go for a trial of Amole Gupte's Stanley Ka Dabba as both have been good friends for many years but Kashyap cancelled at last minute saying he had to attend fittings for his wedding sherwani."
An extremely private person, the Dev D director didn't want anyone to get wind of the wedding. Shocked, he nevertheless, confirms, "Yes, I am getting married on April 30 and have taken leave from all my commitments for 10 days.
Our wedding is a personal affair and will be attended by only family and very close friends. I am leaving tomorrow and that's why I am in a hurry to get my wedding outfits done. It will be a simple ceremony without any grand show-sha."
The couple admitted to their engagement only recently but insisted that they were caught up with work and hadn't fixed a date.
Kalki met her to-be in-laws in Benares during the shoot of Anurag's forthcoming directorial, Gangs Of Wasseypur.
Anurag met Kalki on the sets of Dev D. He was earlier married to film editor Aarti Bajaj and they have a daughter Aaliya.

She reveals, "I will have a very simple wedding in a traditional South Indian style at my mother's house in Ooty. So I am not inviting anyone. It's going to be family affair. We will have a reception later."
However, not everyone from her family will be able to attend the wedding. "My sister who lives in France just got married, spent lavishly on her wedding and cannot afford to take any more leave. I told her that we'd pay for her travel but she says she has to work now," adds Kalki.
The Shaitan actress offers details about her bridal trousseau. "I am going to wear a traditional white-and-red sari and Anurag wearing a traditional dhoti. He has no choice," she quips. "His daughter is happy for us," she concludes.
