Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will play the lead inu00a0Madhur Bhandarkar and Ronnie Screwvala's latest venture which was announced at the Cannes film festival on Thursday.
Playing the role of a superstar will come naturally to the svelte beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as she readies herself to essay a role of a diva in Madhur Bhandarkar's next Heroine, which is scheduled to go on the floors in June.

Heroine will take the audience on a voyeuristic journey to see what really goes on behind the closed doors of make up rooms and vanity vans.
Bhandarkar said that he had been subconsciously preparing for this film ever since he joined the film industry.
Aishwarya said, "Madhur has been asking me to collaborate for this film for many years now and I'm glad that we are finally working together."
Meanwhile, divulging some details about the film Bhandarkar said, "Heroine will encapsulate a bold story of
the internal journey of a filmstar."
