Main hoon naa: Aashish Chaudhary with Kanishq and Ananaya
Is top-of-the-mind for Uncle Aashish
Aashish Chaudhary is trying to be as supportive for his nephew Kanishq and niece Ananaya to help them overcome the loss of their parents. Aashish lost his sister Monica and brother-in-law Ajit Chhabria in the 26/11 terror attack at The Trident.
The kids have been accompanying the actor to his shoots on the days they have an off from school. Over the weekend, they were spotted on the sets of Subhash Ghai's Paying Guests, directed by Paritosh Painter.
Unimaginable loss
u00a0As reported, ('Samita and I will be the second set of parents'; HiTLIST, Dec 3, 2008), the actor mentioned that Kanishq (12) and Ananaya (7) (Pokey and Ducky as he calls them) "had lost more than what can be imagined."u00a0
u00a0Says a unit source, "Aashish arrived with the kids and they were there with him throughout the day. The shoot was at Ghai's acting school, Whistling Woods. They had a good time watching the shoot and interacting with Aashish's co-stars Shreyas Talpade and Jaaved Jaaferi."
It is learnt that the unit folk made the children extremely comfortable. Adds the source, "They spent a lot of time playing with the xBox in the vanity van.
Shreyas's wife Deepti was also there, so Ananaya hung out with her. In fact, Ghai's brother-in-law Raju Farooqui, who was present at the shoot, specially ordered pizzas and chocolates for them."
Confirms Paritosh, "Yes, Aashish was accompanied by the kids at the shoot. Whenever he was not facing the camera, he'd be with them in his vanity van."
Aashish feels it's too personal to talk about helping his nephew and niece cope with the grief.
