Apart from the entire Roshan family, many Bollywood celebrities marked their attendance. Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha, Dharmendra, Rishi Kapoor and Sridevi attended the bithday party of filmmaker Rakesh Roshan. Rakesh's son Hrithik and daughter Sunaina organised a party for him on his 64th birthday last evening where a host of celebrities from the film world were present. The guest list included Jeetendra, Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Prem Chopra, Poonam Sinha with son Luv, Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi. Also present were Goldie Behl, Vivek Oberoi, Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar and his wife Adhuna, Sidharth Malhotra, Zayed Khan, Sanjay Khan, Shilpa Shetty with husband Raj Kundra, Bhushan Kumar, Shobha Kapoor, Honey Irani and others. The party was held at Blue Sea in Worli on Friday night.
"For the past few months, I have only been going to work and coming back home. I have been focusing on the post production work of 'Krrish 3'. I had no idea about the party," Rakesh said. "Such parties are nice because you get to meet all your old friends and associates. When your children are doing it out of love, it is special," he added.
Hrithik, who underwent a brain surgery in July, is said to have delivered a touching speech for his father, who gave the actor a perfect launchpad in filmdom with 'Kaho Naa...Pyaar Hai' in 2000.
The father-son duo are now awaiting the release of their ambitious project 'Krrish 3', the third film of their franchise which began with 'Koi Mil Gaya' in 2003, followed by 'Krrish' in 2006.
'Krrish 3', which will see Hrithik play a superhero once again, is slated for release on November 4. The film also stars Vivek Oberoi, Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut.
