Rahul Dholakia's Lamhaa is back on track after it was disrupted in Srinagar. Bipasha Basu had also walked out of the schedule mid-way for security reasons.
Bipasha Basu and Sanjay Dutt braved the weather and local crowds to resume shooting in Srinagar at Anantnag district, a few kilometres away from Srinagar, where the shooting was disrupted and later abandoned. On Saturday, Bipasha shot at the very same place she had walked away from near a mosque and temple that are situated side by side.
Talking about her experience in Srinagar Bipasha says, "Yes all is going well. It's icy cold though but without any snow. The temperature is below 4-6 degree Celsius every day. I am just dressed smart under many layers of clothing. I'm also gorging lots on yum Kashmiri food and local tea called kahwa. I love the weather.
It's beautiful here and way calmer after the elections and the security is better this time. There are no hassles at all. I am also having fun rehearsing simultaneously for the Screen Awards (which takes place tonight in Mumbai). So it's hectic."
Bipasha adds that her birthday (January 7) was celebrated as usual over many days. Of course, the cherry on the icing was boyfriend John Abraham's surprise bash for her. Bipasha says, "My birthday celebrations began on the 5th and went on till the 7th. John threw a great surprise party for me with lovely gifts. There's so much love but I had a food overdose this time. I got lethargic and tired after so much food."
Yes, CM!
Lamha producer Bunty Walia says, "We have resumed shooting in Srinagar since the last 10 days and it's been a superb experience. We are shooting at the same place and it's very well organized. I know the CM Omar Abdullah from our Lawrence school days in Sanawar. I have Invited Omar to our shoot whenever he's in Srinagar so that we can have a reunion of Sanawarites Sanju, Omar and I. Everything is on schedule and unless the weather doesn't change we should complete the shoot and be back in Mumbai by January 20."
