While the news of the swine flu in and around US broke out, it caused panic in the minds of residents in the States. While many people travelled away from affected pocketss, people travelling to America cancelled their plans. However, the shooting of Karan Johar's Jeehad directed by debutant Rensil D'Silva continued uninterrupted.
Shooting, no matter what
We shot the film in Philadelphia, USA last year but had to come back to New York to shoot a major chunk in the summer time because of the weather. We have waited a year to come back and we had to shoot, no matter what"
The source further adds, "More than the unit all the three principal actors Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Vivek Oberoi have been thoroughly professional and didn't ask to return home after health advisors was asking people back home in India not to travel to the US unless absolutely necessary."
The cast and crew just finished with a major sequence at the Brooklyn Bridge, for which traffic was halted for a few hours to complete the shoot.
The source continues, "Now we return to shoot in Mumbai for another 20-odd days and then the film will be complete." Karan Johar says, "This swine flu is a global concern and my stars and unit are worried about it too. But they all have worked professionally to get their work done."
