In the first Dabangg, Salman Khan tried to woo Sonakshi Sinha with his childlike persona and charm. In a beautifully composed and filmed Tere Mast Mast Do Nain, Sajid-Wajid, the music composers, infused romance into a story filled with rust and grit. This was a film straight from the heartland of India, brimming with old-world charm and high-octane intensity.
In Dabangg 2, Khan and Sinha, who were then married, danced to the tunes of Dagabaaz Nain, and it may not have been as memorable as the previous song, it certainly was a hummable melody. The sweetness in the chemistry between Chulbul Pandey and Rajjo was intact. Their playful banter and passionate romance powered the film to huge commercial success.
And now, it's time for us to witness Dabangg 3, and the Naina song is back, but with a difference. This time, we get a younger Chulbul Pandey, who tries to charm his love, Saiee Manjrekar. Yes, this time, one of the most soothing songs of the album has not been filmed on Sinha but Manjrekar, the newest entrant in the Dabangg franchise. If you have seen the trailer, you would know Khan's character was in love with this young girl before the arrival of the villain of the story, Balli, played by Sudeep Kiccha.
Khan took to his Twitter account to share the link of the song and fans couldn't control their excitement. Take a look:
The song, sung by Javed Ali, works as a melody but we wanted to see the video. We want to see how Manjrekar fares with Khan and whether she shares the same burning chemistry as Sinha did in the first two! The soundtrack of Dabangg is iconic, and so is the film and so is Khan's character. It was after years we saw the actor having fun in a film filled with froth and frivolousness, but in all the good ways.
Dabangg 3 is directed by Prabhudeva and is all set to release on December 20. After this, Khan and Deva will reunite for another action-packed bonanza called Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, releasing on Eid 2020. After experimenting with his characters in Tubelight and Bharat, Bhai is back in his magnanimous avatar, indestructible and infallible. 300 crore, anyone?
