The handsome and one of the most sought after actors, Ali Fazal, who has created stir in India and Hollywood with his acting chops, is all set for his next Bollywood outing - Happy Phirr Bhaag Jayegi. The makers of the film initiated an out-of-the-box promotional strategy, which had the star cast of the film travel in a 'Happy Bus' in search of Fazal's Happy, who is always on a run, as the title suggests.
However, before we could end our search, there were loads of revealations done by the actor on the travel journey. Ali was in good spirits and spoke about his last bus travel. When asked about it, he recalls about his college days. Ali would travel to Pune every week to meet his then girlfriend, who was studying in Symbiosis. Giving some more details about his journeys, he quipped, "I must have watched Hulchul movie more than 200 times because that was the only film displayed on the screen in that bus."

While on the hunt-ride from Andheri to Juhu, we picked up the iconic character of Usman Afridi essayed by Piyush Mishra in between to help us with the search. Finally, our search ended when Diana Penty hopped into the bus flashing her million-dollar smile. At least, we thought so, our search ended there, untill we met Sonakshi Sinha at the trailer launch of the film in Juhu. With two Happys in the film, we are assured of witnessing a high voltage drama.
The cast of Happy Phirr Bhaag Jayegi poses for the shutterbugs
The entire confusion surrounding Happy was cleared after watching the trailer that was unveiled in Juhu. Present at the launch were Sonakshi Sinha, Ali Fazal, Diana Penty, Piyush Mishra, Aparshakti Khurrana and Jassie Gill. Jimmy Sheirgill, who plays a crucial role in the film, had to give the event a miss due to an unavoidable situation. Sonakshi, Jassie, Jimmy and the rest of the cast will leave you in splits in the trailer. The one-liners by Jimmy Sheirgill is no less than a laughter riot.

Ask Sonakshi about her addition to the film, she says, "The script was amazing. I had no reason to say no. I wanted to always work with Aanand L Rai and Mudassar sir."
Producer Krishika Lulla, Aanand L Rai and director Mudassar Aziz were also present and spoke of choosing China as their film's location this time, unlike Pakistan in Happy Bhaag Jayegi. "We should all develop an appetite for humour and sattire. This is the only way how relations could be sorted out between two countries, that's why we chose neighbour Pakistan earlier and now China," said Mudassar Aziz.
A sequel to Happy Bhaag Jayegi (2016) was unexpected. When asked director Mudassar about his plans of coming with a sequel, he exclaims, "When I wrote Happy Bhag Jayegi, it was a small attempt and we didn't realise that the film will receive so much love and support from the audience. The sequel is also made with the same honesty and simplicity but with double the madness, double the fun and crazy characters."
Well, in the era of digital marketing, making the actors take a bus tour was a smart move by the film's team. The film is all set to tickle your funny bones on August 24, 2018.
