Vikas Bahl had a tough time getting permissions to shoot in the red-light districts of Amsterdam

Though Hindi films have often portrayed red-light areas in the country, when it came to shooting inside one such area in Amsterdam, it posed to be a huge problem.u00a0

For his upcoming Kangna Ranaut starrer, Vikas wanted to take the camera inside the clitzy red-light district of Amsterdam where streetwalkers do business. But he soon realised that getting permissions was mighty hard. It became quite a task for the film's crew.

A source says, "Vikas was very adamant to shoot there. But it was very difficult to procure the necessary permissions. No other Bollywood film has dug so deep into the red-light areas there." The filmmaker says, "It took more than two and half months and a lot of paperwork to get the permission in place. There are many rules and regulations involved when shooting in that area."u00a0
