Farah Khan turns a year older on January 9. The choreographer-filmmaker is not exactly known to throw lavish birthday bashes. She prefers to have a get-together with near and dear ones at her home.
As she is an ardent lover of board games and is quite good at it, Farah is planning to usher in her big day by hosting a games night.
She has a select group of Bollywood and non-industry folk who love to battle it out on board games like Trivial Pursuit till the wee hours of the morning. In fact the teams are divided into town folk and suburbanites as several of her pals are from south Mumbai.
Says Farah, "I am sticking to my games night. There is also an open house kind of luncheon on January 9. Anyone can drop in!"
Farah who turns 48 shares her birthday with actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar.
For New Year's Day as well Farah preferred to usher in 2013 with her old pals at home. "There are not too many nightspots which are child friendly and where I can go with my triplets (Anya, Diva and Czar). So I prefer to call my pals over. For New Year's I had several of my school friends who I have known from Standard II."u00a0
