After admitting to marriage after more than a year, Faruk Kabir and Rukhsar are now working together. The Allah Ke Bandey director and his actress-model wife feature in Pawan Uttam's Hindi play Falsafa. Produced by the Rangbazz Theatre Company, readings of the play begin this month-end. Falsafa is a collection of four stories.

Says Faruk, "We have been offered a reality show together but declined it. But when this offer came along, it was novel and exciting."

He adds, "It's an original play and has beautifully crafted funny stories. Each is a comment on our present times through different lives of people who view their tragedies in life with humour."

He essays the role of a poet lost in the idealism of love. "Even though I am a writer-director, acting is a hobby ufffd a release of expression for me. We are doing theatre for the first time. It should be fun."

Rukhsar, best remembered for her role in Sarkar, says, "I am very excited. I have never done a play before so it's a new medium of acting to look forward to. I am not paired opposite Faruk but if someday somebody offers to act together it will be fun to act together too."
