Allah Ke Banday director is writing a book on his experience as a filmmaker, will publish it once his film releases
Faruk Kabir is writing a book titled My First Feature Film, which revolves around various aspects of filmmaking and chronicles his journey as a filmmaker. The Allah Ke Banday director hasn't had the time to complete his book as he's been busy with his film. However, he plans to release it once his film releases.
The first-time director says, "I have chronicled my journey from the time I was an assistant on a Shah Rukh Khan film to making my own film. I feel there is an increase in the number of aspiring filmmakers who want to get into the industry. This book will give them an insight into what to expect."
Catharsis of sorts
He feels that writing the book will be catharsis of sorts for him. "Yes there is so much inside me. Many emotions, experiences, people I have met, memories that I want to put them all down on paper.

It's like writing a diary and putting all your feelings out. Anyone who reads my book will get a personal glimpse into how I made this amazing journey of making my first feature film."
The book will cover all aspects of filmmaking right from scripting to the last stage of promotion and publicity. "Two publishers have shown interest in my work. I would want to finalise one of them.
There are other books on film making in the market, but I feel my documentation of personal experiences will help anyone who's setting out to make their debut film." The book is close to 200 pages and will include a chapter on guerilla filmmaking.
