Fashion for a cause

Fashion designer Krishna Mehta truly believes in fashion for a cause. We recently spotted this dynamic lady at an event where she showcased a fashion line in support of an NGO that fights against domestic violence.

She tells CS, "Most women who suffer from domestic abuse find it tough to speak out against the perpetrators as they are people close to their heart. But this is a very serious issue that leaves a woman shattered for life."

But when we asked her whether holding a fashion show really helped, the lady was honest. She replied, "Agreed that the people who come to such an event belong to the privileged class, but this still is an eye-opener for us.
We are too caught up with our lives to bother about anything else. I feel that even a small step towards a good cause helps. Even if this mobilises a few people, I will consider it a success." We will raise a toast to that, Krishna.u00a0
