For years now, the two production houses helmed by cousins Sajid and Feroze Nadiadwala, were at loggerheads. Though the two cousins have never openly warred, they've never made any attempt to come together socially or professionally. There has never been any effort to iron out their differences.

Now, the ice has thawed, thanks to a tricky title gift. When Sajid Khan needed a title for his new project starting in July and featuring Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal, Riteish Deshmukh, Deepika Padukone, Lara Dutta and Jiah Khan, he thought of Houseful.
Explains Sajid Khan, "Houseful is a very positive concept. Though my film has nothing to do with the filmu00a0 industry, I thought it conveys that sense of collective positivity that's the theme of my film." As luck would have it, Houseful was a title that belonged to producer Sajid Nadiadwala's 'warring' cousin Feroze.
Before the director could give up the idea of the ideal title, his enterprising producer approached his cousin who apparently, gave up the title quite willingly.
Sajid Nadiawala denies any problems with his cousin, "Feroze is family... close family. We went to the same school and practically grew up together. He's two years my senior. I look up to him and seek his advice in professional matters. Of course, he gave me the title Houseful as I'd give him anything he'd ask me for."
When prodded, he admits that they don't meet that often. "We're both busy with our work. But I know we're both there for each other." Sajid may try to underplay undercurrents of hostility and rivalry with Feroze . But the fact is, the two fractions of the Nadiadwalas have never seen eye-to-eye.
The title exchange indicates a movement towards an emotional, if not a business merger between the two.
