Though he's not made much of an impact at the box office, with both Mumbai Godfather and Kuch Kariye bombing, actor Vikrum Kumar has been awarded a bravery certificate from the government of New Zealand for skydiving from 12,000 feet without any formal training. A fitness and adventure sports enthusiast, Vikrum tells CS how he stays fit:
Diet check
I make sure I eat healthy food and exercise regularly. A healthy breakfast is a must and eating post 8 pm is a big no-no. No oily food and less sugar is my mantra. Apart from this, I eat everything, especially Punjabi food. However, I make sure I include more protein and fibre in my diet. Also, I am extremely fond of seafood.
Toning up
I work out for two hours everyday, five days a week. I divide my workout regime between weights and cardio with at least 20 minutes of cardio everyday.
I am also formally trained in boxing ufffd kick-boxing as well as fist-boxing. In addition to this, I have been trained in Tai Chi and karate.
Stress buster
I believe that yoga is extremely important in today's fast-paced life, especially to keep all the stress away. In fact, I try and make it a point to get up by dawn and do surya namaskars for an hour everyday.
