Who said that the gallis are only meant for cricket? Leander Paes thinks that they're great for practising football too.
He tells CS, "When I was learning football, I played and practised it in the by lanes and gallis of Kolkata. I salute the street football trend and wish it grows fast in India. All our soccer heroes played street football in their teen years.
I really think that football is the sport to watch out for in India. With Indians taking so much interest in FIFA and school kids taking up soccer coaching, I really think that football will soon be a rage in India." We hope so too Leander. We've really had an overdose of cricket.
