Lady Gaga's music is as personal as her wardrobe is. Her latest album is a global hit and has already sold over 1.5 million copies and 5.5 million singles worldwide.

In India too, the album was a hit within just six weeks of release. Soon to visit India on a tour, this pop singer writes to CS about her dreams and her take on Asian culture:
I have a dream
I wanted to make something that was truly indicative of how I feel right now in my life, ie living a celebrity's life for the last two-three years. That is how my latest album took birth. I used to have a dream when I was 13 years old that someday I would get to wear Johnny Versace. I would look on the walls at all the legends that I worshipped. And I would imagine that I will find my way there. The urge that someday I can make an impact on the universe, the way they did, was my inspiration.
Her escape route
I had a fire escape outside my tiny apartment in New York. I would play David Billy, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Madonna and Blonde, and I would dance on the fire escape. I have brought that alive in my video The Edge Of Glory. It's a song about being on the other side of life, but also about celebrating how far you've come. I'm very sad we've lost Clarence, the saxophone player who played in the album as well as is in the video. May God bless him.
Talent search
I love the Asian culture and all the fashion designers here in Asia. Actually, as I have been travelling through Asia quite a bit, I have been wearing clothes mostly by Asian designers. It's always important for me to promote young talent wherever I go. That's my favourite part when on tour to any place. Asian countries are so filled with talent that it thrills me. I am blessed to have visited such places and discovered so much young new talent.
