Amitabh Bachchan
There's finally some good news for Amitabh Bachchan fans! Reports suggest that the superstar has now tested negative for COVID-19 and will soon be discharged from hospital.
Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan had informed their fans on July 11 that they had tested COVID-positive and were being taken to Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital. Amitabh in a tweet had also requested people in his close proximity for last 10 days to get themselves tested. This is what he wrote - "I have tested CoviD positive... shifted to Hospital... hospital informing authorities... family and staff undergone tests, results awaited..."
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya, too, tested positive for coronavirus, and while they had quarantined at home for the first few days, they were later taken to the hospital.
Now, reports suggest that Amitabh Bachchan is recovering and ready to return home. Hospital sources informed ABP News that Big B's tests are normal, including blood test and CT scan and he might get discharged in a day or two. While Abhishek's report too are normal, it's still unclear when he will be allowed to leave.
The Piku actor also took to Instagram to share a poignant post.
Big B shared two photographs of himself, one with folded hands and the other where he stretches his palms in prayer, which looks to be a still from his film Coolie.
Here's hoping the entire Bachchan family recovers from the illness and returns home soon!
