Govinda
Since the 90s, Govinda has been one of the most popular and beloved actors in Bollywood. In a recent interview, superstar Govinda claimed that he suggested the title 'Avatar' to director James Cameron. Avatar is one of the most popular and successful films in Hollywood.
According to a report in India Today, in an interview with India TV, Govinda claimed that he was the one who suggested the title of 'Avatar' to director James Cameron. Apparently, the actor was also offered a role in the popular sci-fi movie, but he turned it down. Govinda said in the interview, "I gave the title of the film (Avatar). It turned out to be a super hit film."
He further said, "I had informed him (James Cameron, the director of Avatar) that the film will do really well. I told him that I feel it will take seven years for him to complete the film. He got angry. When I said so, he asked, 'How can you be so sure that I won't be able to make Avatar for seven years?' I told him that what he was imagining was something almost impossible. That he has named his film 'Avatar', but he is showing aliens."

Govinda revealed that Cameron wanted him to shoot for 410 days, but he wasn't ready to get painted blue all over the body, and so he had to turn the movie down. Govinda also revealed in the interview that he rejected films like Gadar, Chandni, Taal and Devdas. Apparently, he refused Gadar because of the abusive dialogues in the film, while he didn't do Chandni because he didn't want to portray a paralysed character.

Fans of the movie will be happy to know that Avatar 2 and Avatar 3 have completed principal filming, and are scheduled to release on December 17, 2021, and December 22, 2023, respectively.
