He is thrilled to be showcasing his brand new collection at Cannes today, but putting it all together wasn't all that easy.
In fact, Shaahid Amir who is the first Indian designer to be invited by the festival to exhibit his designs, conceptualised and executed the new line in 10 days flat.
Well that's because the self-confessed 'electronically challenged' Shaahid didn't check his online invitation for four months. But all's well that ends well. CS does a rapid fire with the man:
The mood at Cannes ufffd Is very energetic. It's great fun to be here and witness the synergy between India and France, especially at an artistic level. Surprisingly, I'm not jittery at all.
I will be showing... The 'Terra Mater' line collection springs from the rudiments of nature and royal Mughal attire of antiquity.
Celebs I would want to style... Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt for sure. I think they're great human beings and that reflects in their style too.
