After a long sabbatical, the beautiful Rani Mukerji is back with her next venture, 'Hichki'. A Yash Raj Films venture, the movie's trailer was unveiled on Tuesday. The film celebrates the human spirit of endurance and self-belief to rise against all odds. YRF's 'Hichki' is a positive story about turning disadvantages into opportunities. The film is produced by Maneesh Sharma and has been directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra. With Rani's powerful performance as its main attraction, audiences are set for an entertaining, feel-good film coming their way.

Rani Mukerji said about her upcoming film at the trailer launch, "It's a lovely film. Through it we want to show that everyone has a 'Hichki' in life. Not many are aware of Hichki (tourettes syndrome) in India."
Regarding her possibly joining social media, Rani Mukerji had this to say, "I'm not coming on social media. I'll only be promoting the film through YRF handles. Through Hichki's social media handle I'll be associating with it for my film's promotion for 3 months. I don't have any personal account. I think I'll take some more time to come on social media. It's a very important medium in today's times."
Rani Mukerji plays a differently-abled woman, who turns her so-called weakness into her strength. In a media statement, Rani had said, "Each of us has a weakness that pulls us back. It could be a disability or any condition but if we just look at it as simply a hiccup, we can emerge the winner. It won't come in the way of achieving our dreams. Hichki is built on this positive premise." Rani, who recently celebrated her daughter Adira's second birthday, was last seen in 'Mardaani', produced by hubby Aditya Chopra's YRF banner.

"Tourette Syndrome is not a topic but a part of one's lives. I used to stammer during childhood. My mother and brother also suffered from stammering. I have overcome this to a certain extent because as an actress we have to emote and recite dialogues. But the best part is when you conquer your weakness and make it your strength.
My mom wouldn't speak when she went for gatherings. But, she never stammered when she sang. She would sing with Mohammad Rafi saab," Rani said.
Rani Mukerji further added, "My brother Raja absorbed it from mom and I absorbed it from him. So, stammering wasn't inherent therefore it was easy for me to overcome it. My brother still stammers at times."
'Hichki' is set to be released on February 23 and sources confirmed to mid-day that the trailer will be attached to Salman Khan's mega action entertainer 'Tiger Zinda Hai'.
"'Hichki' is a film for all age-groups and as a story is relatable pan India. It is a happy and uplifting story of self-belief and celebrates human spirit and hope. The makers wanted Hindi movie-goers across India to sample the trailer and make a note of a film that has its heart in the right place. What could be better than attaching the 'Hichki' trailer to the massive event film Tiger Zinda Hai which will be seen by audiences across the world," told a source close to the film's development.
"The makers have charted out an extensive strategy once the trailer hits the theatres. Rani Mukerji will be fronting the campaign and she will go all-out promoting the film. Rani loves what the film is communicating and is thrilled about how the film has shaped up," the source added.
