Himesh talks to CS about his thoughts on reality shows:
Not everything can be scripted
The whole experience of having an emotional connect with the contestants that comes during reality shows is great. The general perception is that all these shows are scripted. Scripts can work till the level of introducing a contestant. The singing and the judgment is done live. If the singing is going to be live, then how will the reaction to it be scripted? And so, even the discussions that happen cannot be scripted.
Success needs constant work
Success is always short-lived for the contestants of reality shows. But earlier, singers never got such kind of a platform. There were a certain five-six singers who ruled and the others got left out. Now, at least young talent has the option to showcase their skills. Once they have that, it's up to them how they sustain in the industry. And it's not just the newcomers. Even an established singer or actor has to face the challenge of keeping up their good work to stay at a particular position. You cannot live on past glory. You must keep excelling in your work all the time.u00a0
