I Am Singh is a film that deals with the hate crimes against Asians soon after 9/11 in US. Ranveer Singh (Chahal) travels to USA when he learns that his two brothers and his father become the victims of hate crime.
He runs around pillar to post seeking help in finding the attackers and in the process meets his brothers' friends Rizwan (Rizwan Haider) and his brother.
The three set out to avenge the attack and take on these criminals with the help of an ex-cop Fateh Singh (Puneet Issar).
The film, starts off promisingly, especially when we get to see the dramatic versions of true-life violence that took place in the various places of US, in the name of hate crime.
But soon after, it ends up being a childish mess that more often than not gets unintentionally funny. Most of the film's dialogues are in English and the dialogues seem like taken off a sixth standard English text book.
Even though the intention is right, the film falters at many levels. First of all, the hate crime syndicate is shown to be this gang of four baldheads coming together, screaming their lungs out.
Talking about screaming, most characters seem to think screaming is good acting, with Chahal and Punit Issar leading the pack.

Dialogues are delivered like students do in an annual drama competition and there are so many unnecessary close-ups that after a point, you are familiar with the moles on the faces of most of these characters.
A waste of time.
