Though Ashmit Patel is finally working in some films after a gap, he has not given up on the small screen. The actor will be the mentor again for the second season of a reality show that hunts for studs. He will teach the contestants the art of wooing to be the super stud of the country. After his outing in Bigg Boss in 2010 and his link-ups with inmates Veena Malik and Sara Khan, he was roped in for the first season of the show to teach the art of flirting.
Says Ashmit, "I have a connect with the show and it gives me a chance to meet contestants from across the country. Basically, I have to coach them and provide them tips on how to be the dude. I got the offer after my Bigg Boss outing. I essay myself on the show so it is cool for me."u00a0On the film front, Ashmit recently shot in Fiji for a film that has Veena as co-star while his other project with Sara is a family drama. He says, "There was a reason why we were cast together.
There is a comfort factor working with them. It is better to work with friends as the chemistry comes naturally on screen. When you work with a person you don't know, it takes a while to be comfortable and portray the chemistry needed for the big screen." Ask him about his link up with Veena and he states, "I am bored of hearing about Veena and me. I have become used to it and it does not bother me."
Moving on
Ashmit will also begin work in a Punjabi film soon. As most of the cast consists of singer-actors, he is keen to take up singing and penning songs again. Almost two years ago, he had penned a song Apni Kahani Apni Zubaani on the scandals he had to face in his life. "I needed to get it out of the system. It was bothering me. Instead of going to town about it, I thought of saying it through the song and move on in life."
