Bollywood actor Imran Khan has often been mistaken for other actors or personalities with similar names. For instance, he had been texted on social media thinking that he was Irrfan Khan. In another incident, in the pretext of interviewing Pakistan's current Prime Minister Imran Khan, the actor was even interviewed by a journalist.
Jaane Tu Ya Jaane actor Imran Khan has been flooded with congratulatory messages on "winning the throne in Pakistan as the Prime Minister". On Tuesday, the actor, Aamir Khan's nephew posted a screenshot of the email he'd received, in which the sender addressed him, "Dear Prime Minister".
Imran Khan, who is known for his amazing sense of humour, quipped about this mistaken identity. "I guess I can no longer ignore the call to action. Gonna start drafting some policy outlines this week, I'll keep you guys updated," read his post.
The email Imran Khan received read, "Successful leader takes right decision at right time. He recognizes friends and selects faithful team members. Now it is ten years long governance and I want to join your team on very first day." A snapshot of which was shared by the actor on Instagram.

In another incident, where he was called Irrfan Khan, Imran had shared a photo of a user messaging him thinking he was talking to actor Irrfan Khan. Well, Imran takes these repeated episodes in his stride and shares it with his followers on social media.
On the professional front, Imran Khan was last seen in Katti Batti (2015) with Kangana Ranaut, which tanked at the box office.

On the other hand, on Monday, the neighbouring country Pakistan's Tehreek-e-Insaf's Parliamentary committee officially nominated the cricketr-turned-politician Imran Khan as the party's Prime Ministerial candidate.
