Imran declares his engagement date

The Jaane Tu actor Imran Khan will get engaged to his long time girlfriend Avantika Malik next month. The grand ceremony will commence on January 16 and will be held in Mumbai and not in New Delhi, at Arjun Rampal's lounge bar Lap, as rumored.

A source close to the actor confirms that the bash is happening in Mumbai and the entire film industry is expected for the event. For now, the duo is busy with the preparations. Also, the buzz of them declaring their marriage date at the ceremony is on. Their families on the other hand are busy finalizing the venue, outfits, jewellery and other fineries of the event.

Imran's spokesperson recently confirmed, "Imran had always January in mind when he had announced his formal engagement. The date is 16th January. Also, there were never any plans of doing the ceremony in Delhi as Imran and Avantika both have their families and friends here in Mumbai.

Imran had proposed to Avantika on July 18 at a private party of her birthday earlier this year. Only close family members and select friends were present at the event.
