Maana Flies Solo
As Sanjay Dutt did not get his visa for Singapore, Maanayata flew solo for Amar Singh's kidney transplant on Friday.
She has returned, while her hubby is busy shooting in Johannesburg. She will be joining him in South Africa shortly.
One for the RainsMarathi bonhomie was evident at the Ravindra Natya Mandir, where Gabhricha Paus was being screened. The film's cast and their friends mingled and caught up. Here's looking...
Casualty!Prateik Babbar was spotted at two different events. The first time, we liked his casual look, but the second time he decided to go grunge with gusto.
He kept the same chappals and rolled up his linen pants and donned a chest-flashing tee. Should we just blame the rains?.
Frank, forthright and funny
Hema Malini's comments are typical of the South Indian actor, frank, forthright and funny.
A Press Trust of India (PTI) report states that she claims she does not believe in the current zero size figure trend and says, to become a star, you should look good, have a flat tummy and most importantly, act well.
She also said that she does not understand gymming and that directors in her day, preferred plump actresses. This report takes one back years ago when Hema Malini was on a jury panel for a Mr Manhunt pageant in Udaipur.
When asked by TV channels which male competitor she thought would win she had said, "If Dharamji was here he would have won.
He was the handsomest man." That, one thinks is the enduring appeal of this Dream Girl, who is now 60. In a politically correct world, she says what she thinks.
Dostana 2 Delayed
While people are speculating the cast for the Dostana sequel, a source close to director Tarun Mansukhani reveals that he's suffering from writer's block.
Unlike reports that Tarun has locked in actors (besides Katrina Kaif in place of Priyanka Chopra) for his sequel, the director hasn't even started writing the script yet.
In fact, he's right now coming up with ideas for a totally different film. So those waiting for any updates on Dostana 2 will have a long wait!
Termite Problem
Ashish Chowdhry has packed his stuff from his Bandra home and moved to his parental house in Cuffe Parade where he grew up owing to major termite problem in his house.
He says, "I shifted out because of the termites. But it's a nice change as I'm getting more time to catch up with my old friends and an unexpected change is always a pleasure."
His newborn son Agastya is settling with the new change, says Ashish. "He is growing up on the same bed and in the same room that I grew up on."
We only hope the termite treatment does not take as long as Hrithik Roshan's did.
