Buzz is that the singer has been dating actress Sandhya Mridul's ex, Rajeev Gopalakrishnan. The writer-actor is the nephew of south actress-turned-director Revathy.

Anushka, who is seen on TV in Khatron Ke Khiladiu00a0-- Level 2 (and also, won the reality show, whose finale aired last night), is keeping the relationship under wraps.



Says a source, "There is something definitely on between them. Rajeev and Anushka are definitely a couple. Both are from the entertainment world, so there is lots in common."

When asked about Rajeev, Anushka maintains, "We are both so busy, there is no time for a relationship."

It is learnt that the two have known each other for the past five years. Friends of Anushka say that she considers Rajeev to be her closest friend. And even though he parted ways with Sandhya, both he and Anushka are on friendly terms with her.

Currently Rajeev is acting in Tamil films. He was seen in Hindi films like Bas Yun Hi and Firaaq. He has also done the screenplay for Das Kahaaniyan and Woodstock Villa. For his aunt Revathy's film Phir Milenge, he was an associate director.

Apart from having her own band Shkabang, Anushka has been crooning for several B-Town flicks. The Bebo track in today's release Do Knot Disturb has been rendered by her. She will also be heard in films like Kites, Pyaar Impossible and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani.

Rajeev had met Sandhya on the sets of Lillete Dubey's play Zen Katha in 2004 in which he was cast opposite her. After being together for a while, Sandhya and Rajeev had parted ways.

Anushka was one of the winners of Popstars, Channel [V]'s talent hunt in 2002 to formed the first Indian pop girl band, Viva. After the group spilt, Anushka was a VJ for a short while. She then began doing playback singing in Tamil films. In 2006 then, she got her first opportunity to sing for Hindi filmsu00a0- the title track of the Hindi film Golmaal.
