Director Punit Malhotra is a big fan of romantic films, especially those made by Dharma and Yash Raj. As a tribute to his favourite romantic songs, the director plans to incorporate a spoof on them in his debut film I Hate Luv Storys.

A source from the film reveals that there's an elaborate sequence where Imran and Sonam sing and dance to the tunes of popular songs from Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dhoom and others.

However, the songs won't be used as they are but the lyrics will be changed to funny lines. A source adds, "It's a hilarious sequence that is one of the highlights of the film. Also the lead pair have several costume changes for the song."

The idea to include the parody of songs was to stress on the romantic angle of the film. "It's an all-out love story that deals with the different emotions a person goes through when in and out of a relationship. The love song parody is very situational."

However, on being contacted, Punit denied having such a song in the film.
