Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar at a promotional event
Shashank Khaitan's Dhadak starring Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter is all set to release this week. The lead actors who are on a promotional spree for their film, have visited various cities including Jaipur, Lucknow, Pune, and Kolkata. The film was shot in Jaipur and Kolkata, so visiting these places for promotions brought back memories of the shoot for the actors.
However, the love that Dhadak's lead pair has received across cities and on social media has left them overwhelmed. Janhvi is moved with the youthful energy that welcomed her at each of her halts during the city tours. Ishaan, on the other hand, feels more encouraged to deliver a knockout performance. "I didn't expect to receive so much love from the audience. I'm thankful for this and there's a sense of gratitude for what I have received so far. I just hope that I can give something back to the audience," says Janhvi.
Ishaan echoes her thoughts, and says, "Maybe, I didn't think about all of this, but it's truly overwhelming and I hope people like what they see in the film." When asked about their memories of shooting the film, Janhvi says, "Bhawanipur, Jaipur, Udaipur and Kolkata and Mumbai⦠each day that I have shot at these places has been memorable. It'll be very difficult to hand-pick one day in each schedule." Ishaan adds, "I think the 16 days that we shot at Udaipur were the most memorable days for me. I just loved them."
Given that the film is just a few days away from release, how are the newcomers feeling in the last leg of their promotions? "I feel more responsible towards the audience. I want to earn their love. I wouldn't say I'm nervous as that has a negative connotation, but I value everything that I have received so far," says Janhvi, while Ishaan sums up, saying, "Love is always welcome because it pushes you to do better."
