Karan on call

We've always known Karan Johar to be the serious romantic types. But the filmmaker also has a funny bone and we have none other than another filmmaker Gurinder Chadha to vouch for it. "One of the first people to read the script of my latest film was Karan Johar.



It was just after the birth of my twins. He was in town and I asked him to take a look at what I had written. It is a mad, hilarious film and I wondered what he'd think of it. After all, he does have a strong conventional streak. To my surprise, he finished it in one and half hours flat and was super-thrilled. His response was, "Is it post-partum hormones or what? This script is totally mad."
