The magnificence with which she carries any creation she's slipped into makes Kareena Kapoor Khan the blue-eyed girl of the industry's most coveted designers. Taking her love for fashion a step further, the actor is apparently set to launch her own label, which will be unveiled at the Lakme Fashion Week, that kicks off on Wednesday.

A source close to Kapoor reveals that the actor - who is currently in Dubai along with sister Karisma and buddy Amrita Arora Ladak for a brand launch - will have a final round of meetings with leading fashion designers to curate her line.

Talking about the label, set to be named Kareena Kapoor Khan, the source says, "Kareena has put together the range herself. She will even collaborate with a noted e-commerce site to sell the product." Even though she's turned showstopper for designers of traditional wear, Kapoor will offer casual and party wear to the public.

"Primarily, it is a colourful collection that will be available in different materials. She will also eventually launch an accessory and makeup range." Turning showstopper for Monisha Jaising at this edition of the fashion week, Kapoor is likely to announce her label at the event. mid-day reached out to Kapoor, who remained unavailable for a comment. The organisers refused to divulge details.
