Katrina Kaif recently followed her Tees Maar Khan co star Akshay Kumar's example and rented a chopper so she could be with her mother Susanne. Apparetnly, Susanne was holding an event for her charity that works to prevent female infanticide. She wanted her star beti and collaborator on the project to speak at the event in Chennai. Kat was in a fix as she was scheduled to shoot in Mumbai on that day. Since there was no way the professional Kat would take a day off from shoot, she decided to hire a chopper instead. So she flew to her mom's event, helped to further the cause and flew back in time for her shoot.
Last month, Akshay had insisted that the producers of Tees Maar Khan rent a chopper so every evening after shoot he could fly from Malshej Ghat to Mumbai be with his son, and fly back the next day.
