Mukul Dev is back, with a bang and a dense beard. The man will now be seen opposite the formidable Deol trio in Yamla Pagla Deewana.
Message in a bottle
In the film, I play a rural Punjabi who confuses an already confusing plot. Initially the role had gone to my brother (Rahul Dev), but he thought that I was better suited for it since I'm the funnyman in the family.
When I went for the audition, I was sporting a beard, and looked every bit the drunkard I was supposed to play. Needless to say, I bagged the role in a jiffy.
Southern comfort
Even though I was missing from Bollywood for over two years, I had my hands full with films in the South. After doing about 13-14 films down South, I needed a very interesting script to return to B-town.
High flying
Another project that's kept me really busy is Soar, my aeronautical academy in Delhi that will start rolling by end of this month. Not many know that I am a trained pilot and this is something that I always wanted to do. But even though I love flying, I know that it's impractical to balance it with my acting job.
But all said and done, acting is something that I want to do for the rest of my life. Today you have so many genres and categories to choose from. I'm happy to be making the most of now.
