In a freewheeling chatathon, the singing diva talks about her career, life after marriage and love for fast cars.
Starting young
I began my singing career at a young age. Life was all about doing live shows and grooming myself with regular riyaaz by listening to cassettes and CDs of popular numbers. Getting into this industry was not planned. I recorded a playback song before appearing on Doordarshan's show. The show got me a lot of recognition.u00a0What followed was a playback debut with Mast and ever since I have never had to look back.u00a0
Daddy's girl
My dad has been the guiding force in my life. He has sacrificed a lot for me. He was a theatre actor. When our acquaintances began talking about my talent, he quit his job and we moved to Mumbai. It is because of his hard work that I am what I am today.

Life after marriage
It's been a year and half for my marriage and its been blissful. Though, I am still trying to figure out my exact emotions when I am with my husband Hitesh (laughs). That's because I am getting to know him everyday. I guess it's the same with him. It's a very positive and interesting phase of my life.
Multi-tasking
I personally feel that my voice suits Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, Kajol, Parineeti Chopra and Urmila Matondkar the best. Besides singing, I am open to acting as well, I love multi-tasking. I am also planning a singles and an album too.
Diwali plans
I will be at home celebrating the festival with my hubby, my family and in-laws. Cleaning the house for Diwali is always on top of my mind (laughs). I feel people in Mumbai don't celebrate Diwali with as much gusto as they do for festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi and Navratri. I miss my days in Delhi when I was ten years old. I loved to wear pretty ghagra-choli's and burst crackers with my friends.
I, me, myself
At home, I love surfing channels or catching up on a movie. Outside home, I like to call myself âSunidhi is equal to speed' because I am a big car freak and love racing around in my X5 Beemer with music in the background. I plan to buy a sports car next. What I really detest is people who don't follow road etiquettes, it makes me wild and I am prone to fighting with them on the roads (laughs loudly).u00a0I am associated with social causes like working for the underprivileged children. I do my bit for them by doing charity shows, donating money and buying clothes.
