Often seen as pretty faced good girl, her "Raajneeti" role was quite a long take-off. She featured as a party worker who was ready to go to any length to get a ticket to contest election.
"Among all my film roles, 'Raajneeti' remains my favourite. It was a complete departure from the kind of work I have earlier done," Shruti told IANS.
The 35-year-old, who has featured in movies like "Fanaa", "Ta Ra Rum Pum", and "Slumdog Millionaire", says it was a tough role.
"It has been the most difficult role I have ever played. I clearly shocked many people and I think my purpose was served," said the actress who is married to director Danish Aslam who made "Break Ke Baad".
Shruti was last seen in 2011 movie "My Friend Pinto".u00a0
